Old Westbury returns to action November 10 on the road against New Rochelle and Mount Saint Vincent

OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's and women's swimming opened their non-conference portion of the schedule Wednesday evening at home against the William Paterson University Pioneers inside Clark Athletic Center.

The Pioneers claimed victory over Old Westbury with an 88-85 women's final, and a 92-79 men's decision.

Jessie O'Hagan paced the Panther women with first-place points in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.28. Samantha Imbembo and Megan Hanselman followed with third-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (16:37.98) and 200-yard IM (3:39.45) events, respectively.

O'Hagan, Imbembo, Tatianna Pizarro and Jessica Tuckruskye combined to earn first-place points in the 400-yard freestyle relay (5:07.99), while O'Hagan, Hanselman, Pizarro and Giray teamed to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay (2:22.97)

On the men's side, Kevin Ryersen paced Old Westbury with a time of 24.83 in the 50-yard freestyle to earn second place. Takis Kellarakos added a third-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 14:37.80.

Lorenzo Cusumano, Jonah Wegener, Ian Febres and Ryersen touched the wall in 2:12.42 to take third place in the 200-yard medley relay before Ryersen, Febres, Kellarakos and Chaz La Salle-Cruz closed out the meet with first-place points in the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:21.81).

COLLEGE OF NEW ROCHELLE BLUE ANGELS AND COLLEGE OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury opens its road schedule on November 10 when they travel to New Rochelle, New York to take on the College of New Rochelle Blue Angels and College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in non-conference action at 6:45 p.m. inside the Wellness Center.
