OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The Skyline Conference announced on May 5 that SUNY Old Westbury sophomore catcher/infielder JJ Palumbo (Westbury, New York) was named to the Skyline First Team All-Conference following an outstanding 2026 season for the Panthers baseball program.

Palumbo, the talented third baseman, played a major role in the Panthers' success this season, batting .422 while recording 46 hits, 28 runs scored, 13 RBI, 14 walks, and five doubles.

Throughout the season, Palumbo consistently delivered at the plate while also showing tremendous growth in his overall development within the program. Compared to the 2025 season, he surpassed his previous totals in games played, hits, runs scored, and RBI, highlighting the hard work and dedication he has put into improving his game.

As one of the Panthers' most consistent offensive contributors, Palumbo established himself as a key piece of the lineup throughout the 2026 campaign while earning recognition as one of the top players in the Skyline Conference.

With two seasons still ahead of him, Palumbo will look to continue building off his breakout season as he remains a vital component of the Panthers baseball program moving forward.
